I didnt love it.The story is ironic.A family tragedy looked at in a comedic way. I personally enjoyed this book just enough.
Just don't put the book down, because I guarantee another section will come next that will have you rolling on the floor. A few episodes are a bit long - just skim if you ever get bored with a section. I don't often laugh outloud when reading a book. I did with this book, many times.
Highly suggested to anyone looking for a rewarding, possibly mind-altering, reading experience. Egger's autobiography is the perfect blend of satire, riotous deadpan dialogue, and heartbreaking work of staggering genius.
Then again, maybe this is how most twenty somethings view the events in the fabric of their lives and I am just way 'over the hill.' A 'pity party' by the author. This was a book club pick and that is the only reason I read it. Truly the worst book I read in years.
l.a people may be offended with the candor. recommended reading for people from chicago with a brain in their head.
